The central air-conditioning vent—a streamlined design pioneered in the automotive industry—set a new standard for innovation and transformation in vehicle vents. Many subsequent models have since drawn inspiration from the Passat’s groundbreaking design concept.
HeYao Technology, a leading player in the automotive components industry, is honored to have begun collaborating on the design of this innovative concept in 2017—a project that also represents a highly challenging new product.
The primary challenge in designing the main body of this air outlet is its slender, elongated geometry, which requires precise deformation control of each sub-air outlet to meet the target airflow rate. At the same time, such a slender outlet poses significant challenges for functional testing, including operational force and durability assessments. Furthermore, this main outlet body is designed for direct mounting of the primary-stage fan blades—unlike conventional designs that use separate, smaller sub-outlets; in this case, three sub-outlets are mounted directly onto the main body, with no intermediate sub-assembly components.
The company’s technical team, with many years of experience in the air outlet product industry, has leveraged both mold manufacturing feasibility and product functional requirements to deliver precise and effective structural improvement solutions to clients.
